Position Description

CTSU Clinical Research Project Manager 

We are currently seeking a Clinical Research Project Manager to join the New Agent and Innovative Therapies (NAIT) Program within the Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU), part of the Division of Haematology/Oncology.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced clinical research professional to lead a portfolio of complex oncology clinical trials while providing project management for the Supporting Travel for Pediatric and Adolescent Patients to access academic phase studies in Canada (STEP-1) Program, and U-Link Canada (u-link.care).

In this role, you will work closely with investigators, research teams, sponsors, CROs, healthcare providers, patients, families, and external partners to advance innovative pediatric oncology research while helping improve access to clinical trials across Canada. The successful candidate will contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing barriers to trial participation and supporting equitable access to novel therapies for children and adolescents.
 

Here's What You'll Get To Do:

• Clinical Trial Portfolio Management
• Lead and manage a portfolio of oncology clinical trials from study start-up through close-out.
• Coordinate study activation activities including ethics, regulatory, and institutional submissions.
• Ensure studies are conducted in compliance with protocol, sponsor, institutional, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage study timelines, budgets, contracts, resources, and operational priorities.
• Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, CROs, clinical teams, and hospital stakeholders to support successful trial delivery.
• Support patient recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities while ensuring participant safety and protocol compliance.
• Oversee study data management, safety reporting, monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.
• Mentor and support junior research staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives across CTSU.
• Program and Platform Management: STEP-1 Program and U-Link Canada website
• Provide project management for the STEP-1 Program and U-Link Canada at the national level
• Coordinate STEP-1 activities, including program workflows, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
• Support the U-Link Canada website by maintaining accurate clinical trial information, coordinating content updates, and advancing platform improvements.
• Develop and maintain program-specific tools, trackers, reports, SOPs, and communication resources.
• Collaborate with participating centres, investigators, healthcare providers, and external partners to improve awareness of and access to pediatric oncology clinical trials across Canada.

Here's What You'll Need 

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience managing interventional clinical trials.
• Experience managing complex oncology clinical trials, including study start-up, regulatory submissions, trial conduct, and close-out.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICH-GCP, Health Canada regulations, and clinical research compliance requirements.
• Experience managing study budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement experience.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in pediatric oncology and/or early phase clinical trials.
• Experience leading multi-site, national, or international clinical research initiatives.
• Experience in program development, patient navigation, trial access initiatives, or healthcare information platforms.
• CCRP and/or PMP certification.
• Master's degree in a related discipline.
