Role is a Clinical Data Analyst working with clinical databases/EMR, developing dashboards, KPIs, and regulatory reporting (CIBMTR/FACT-JACIE) using SQL, Power BI/R—clearly health informatics/health data analytics work.

About this role

Summary of Duties:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, Odette Cancer Centre (OCC) and supporting the Quality Program Manager, the Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting clinical and operational data to support quality improvement, performance measurement and strategic decision-making for the Complex Malignant Hematology (CMH) Cellular Therapy Program. The role develops and maintains dashboards, monitors key performance indicators, ensures data integrity and provides actionable insights to enhance patient care, program performance and organizational objectives. Working collaboratively with clinical, operational and administrative teams, the Clinical Data Analyst supports quality initiatives, accreditation activities, and evidence-informed planning across the CMH Cellular Therapy Program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Cellular Therapy Program databases and registries
  • Extracting, validating and analyzing clinical, operational and quality data
  • Supporting FACT-JACIE Accreditation, CIBMTR reporting and other regulatory reporting (if applicable)
  • Developing dashboards, KPIs and routine reports
  • Supporting quality improvement, research and program planning initiatives
  • Collaborating with physicians, nursing, quality, research, transplant coordinators and leadership
  • Performing data quality audits and ensuring data integrity
  • Supporting performance measurement and strategic reporting

 

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Experience working with clinical databases and electronic medical records
  • Advanced Excel plus experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, SAS, or similar analytical tools
  • Experience in oncology or cellular therapy preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical research methods, quality improvement and healthcare data standards preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
