Role is focused on device integration, clinical and business architectures, and bridging clinical users with Health Shared Services BC to develop and support healthcare technology services—i.e., healthcare IT/clinical systems integration.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager or delegate, the Device Integration Analyst operates within a specific region of Island Health utilizing considerable knowledge of end user computing technologies, Island Health departmental and services delivered by partner organizations, to support a variety of internal and external users throughout the specific region. Primarily focused on Island Health specific clinical and business architectures and bridging between clinical users, Health Shared Services BC and other support organizations to maximize user adoption and provide a seamless service to IM/IT clients. The Analyst act as user advocate by collecting and communicating technical/clinical requirements to partner organizations and in-house technology projects and works closely with Clinical Informatics to develop new technology services, promote and improve technical uptake.
Travel may be a requirement of this position. If applicable, transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and the incumbent must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Grade 12 plus, graduation from a recognized two-year information systems diploma program, plus three (3) years' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid BC Driver's License.
