Position is an IT infrastructure manager role for a hospital network (Unity Health Toronto) responsible for data centre/cloud, Active Directory, messaging, servers, SAN, Citrix, Microsoft 365/Azure and backup systems — i.e., healthcare IT/infrastructure supporting clinical systems and services.
Reporting directly to the Director, Information Technology - Infrastructure, the Manager, Technical Services has primary responsibility to plan, organize, direct, and function as a manager over technical support staff in all functional areas Unity Health Toronto’s data centre and cloud environment. The Manager has responsibility for Unity Health Toronto’s Active Directory, messaging, physical and virtual servers, Storage Area Network (SAN), file shares, Citrix, Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure, and backup systems. The Manager also has responsibility for proposing, assessing, planning and designing new technology solutions. This management role has significant accountability to providing the Hospital’s user community with efficient and effective technical infrastructure services while maintaining user satisfaction.
