Position Overview

 

TELUS Health is looking for a qualified individual to be accountable for the planning & successful delivery of small to medium Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and hardware implementation projects with low to medium risk and complexity. Responsible for coordinating activities of the implementation team, identifying appropriate resources needed, developing schedules to ensure the project is delivered on time and within defined scope, meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Applies implementation management techniques and skills combined with experience in a small to medium business environment. The position reports to the Manager of  Client Project Management.

As an implementation  manager for the Client Project Team you will leverage your strong implementation management, process improvement and relationship building skills to drive implementations that make a meaningful impact for our clients.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage all aspects of the implementation  over the entire project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close)

  • Define project scope and objectives, develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects

  • Ensure control of project: dealing with conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies and change

  • Ensure deliverables adhere to quality standards

  • Stand ready to coordinate urgent service orders with precision and speed 

  • Serve as single point of customer contact and be the trusted client advisor and point of contact through the lifecycle of the project

  • Communicate project details effectively

  • Maintain updated information in CRM system and communicate with leadership on a frequent basis on project health through the means of project status reports, presentations and email communications

  • Assure 100% client satisfaction

  • Drive continuous operational excellence by championing the documentation and optimization of operational processes 

Qualifications

Required Knowledge

 

  • Project management methodologies, principles and best practices at an intermediate level

  • Understanding of the healthcare industry

  • Post-secondary diploma or certification

  • You have 3+ years working experience leading implementation projects in information technology

  • You are highly organized and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

  • You have 5+ years experience in a customer-facing role

  • You can manage multiple concurrent projects and a diverse project portfolio  by prioritizing deliverables and applying excellent time management skills 

  • You are confident and comfortable negotiating with stakeholders, customers and partners on key project decisions

  • You are a creative and innovative thinker

  • You will identify areas where changes or updates to processes can result in increased quality and efficiency

  • You take initiative and work independently

  • You thrive in a virtual work environment

  • You are diplomatic, have tact and are poised under pressure

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Working knowledge of Project Inspire, Salesforce, JIRA and Confluence 

  • Knowledge of clinical office workflows. 

  • Experience with EMRs and/or working knowledge of The Collaborative Health Record

  • Proficiency with G-suite 

  • Experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Salary Range: $57,000-$105,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 10%
