Role is metadata engineering and data governance for Pfizer (healthcare/pharmaceutical) including Collibra meta-modeling, integrations, lineage, and regulated (GxP) data domains — clearly health data/healthcare IT work.
Use Your Power for Purpose
We are seeking a senior meta-model engineer to own and evolve our Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) meta-model, system integration, and workflows. This role partners closely with Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) to coordinate catalog/operating-model changes impacting the PGS Unified Data Hub (UDH) and adjacent platforms, and represents Data & AI Platforms (DAIP) on PGS-facing projects and forums. As a senior meta-model engineer for the Collibra platform team, you will shape the asset model, build/maintain workflows, external integrations, and guide standards for security, lineage, and governance to make trusted data easy to find, understand, and use by our colleagues and AI agents.
At Pfizer, technology drives everything we do. Our digital and 'data first' strategy focuses on implementing innovative and impactful technology solutions across all functions, from research to manufacturing. Your work will span across systems architecture, network systems, and application infrastructure to ensure effective delivery of results. Your dedication and hard work will be instrumental in preparing Pfizer to achieve new milestones and make a global impact on patient care.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Manage time effectively to meet targets and develop plans for short-term work activities on moderately complex projects.
Operate under general supervision, following established procedures and instructions, and solve loosely defined problems.
Use personal judgment to modify methods and techniques as needed.
Collaborate with Information Technology partners to set up development, test, and production environments.
Conduct risk analysis and impact assessments for solutions that integrate with other Pfizer systems.
Design and implement application software configurations and systems design for commercial off-the-shelf software products.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team to achieve project goals.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

Experience in data governance, metadata engineering, and/or data modeling.
Strong workflow automation skills (BPMN; scripting such as Groovy/Java/Python) and Collibra REST API integration patterns.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate change across business and platform teams (impact/risk assessment, deployment plans, controls).
Excellent stakeholder management; comfortable representing platform positions with PGS product, architecture, and governance forums.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Background supporting PGS or manufacturing/supply chain data domains and their operating models.
1-3+ years hands-on in Collibra (DGC, Console, Job Server, workflows, APIs)
Proven experience designing and evolving Collibra meta-models (asset/attribute types, relations, communities/domains) at enterprise scale.
Practical knowledge of technical lineage harvesting and curation (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks UC) and mapping to business glossaries.
Understanding of Collibra security models, role design, SSO/IdM integration.
Familiarity with data quality operating models and rule lifecycle in Collibra.
Experience in regulated environments (GxP).
