Students who excel in this position have a analytical background and are interested in pursuing a career in Healthcare Analytics. The student’s work will support our Analytics and Business Intelligence team. The team works in a complex problem solving and fast-paced environment. The role includes direct involvement with various analytical tools used by hospitals, and provides an opportunity to gain exposure to various areas of hospital data. The extended team is made up of an experienced group of analysts and developers. Strong organizational and communication skills are an important asset in this role.

Responsibilities:

Development:

• • Convert SAS reference code to SQL/Python for CIHI and Ministry indicators/metrics
• • Create Power BI dashboards
• • Automation of manual data processes
• • Develop data quality checks
• • Develop AI models

Administration:

• Document processes
• Document data dictionary
• Manage the execution and tracking of department continuous improvement initiatives
• Improve quality and efficiency within the development process; process optimization

Education:

• Completed at least 2nd year of a Computer Science/Engineering/Healthcare Analytics Program.

Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Initiative:

• Demonstrated ability for self learning and innovation.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday days on casual basis. Schedules may change based on operational needs.
