Job Description 
Summary
Perform a variety of routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, service, and calibration of therapeutic, diagnostic, or life-sustaining biomedical instruments. This position manages day-to-day operations, collaborates with customers, supports colleagues’ development, and serves as a communication channel between hospital executives and Christie Innomed’s head office. The role also ensures compliance with regulatory standards and includes hands-on biomedical service work.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply technical knowledge to oversee site operations.
  • Perform repairs and planned maintenance daily.
  • Lead and guide supporting technicians when available.
  • Maintain customer contact and keep the Regional Service Manager informed.
  • Manage service operations, contracts, and inventory of supplies.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical or process issues.
  • Prioritize open work orders and document preventive maintenance.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and collaborate on solutions.
  • Contribute to financial performance through efficient service delivery.
 
Job Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hospital clinical engineering department, with leadership exposure.
  • Technical experience servicing Ventilators and Anesthesia systems.
  • Ability to travel regularly, up to two weeks at a time. Must maintain valid driver’s license, passport and any other required travel documents.
  • Technical certifications (A+, CBET, CRES, CLES, CCE) are an asset.
  • Ability to obtain Biomedical Equipment Technician certification (ICC) required.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits, troubleshooting, and biomedical schematics.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills.
