Role supports the provincial BC Health Workday implementation (HCMS) across multiple health authorities — a healthcare IT/digital transformation program involving requirements, data analytics, reporting, benefits realization, QA, and privacy/security for health systems.

The BC Health Workday Program is a provincial initiative with seven participating BC health organizations (FHA, IHA, ISLH, NHA, PHC, PHSA and VCHA). The program began in 2023 to implement a Human Capital Management System (HCMS) software solution as part of the BC Health Human Resources Strategy to transform HR services. Designed by Workday Canada, the new provincial platform will replace existing HR and payroll systems in the health organizations with a single, unified technical system that will standardize and modernize HR and payroll services. It is a significant transformation in BC and is vital to the sustainability of BC’s health system.
The Business Analyst, Project Management Office, reports to the Manager, Quality, Risk and Issue Management and supports the strategic and operational decision-making process of the team. The Analyst is responsible for supporting BC Health Workday project; analyzing data and performance metrics; managing audits and preparing financial models, data mining and budget/variance reports; implementing new accounting standards; developing policies and procedures and representing the project at various meetings.The role monitors and tracks remediation activities; collaborates with various invested partners to translate user needs into evidence-based measurable requirements and validates benefit data for the BC health organizations; builds and maintains dataset and dashboards, scorecards and analytic reports; provides structure to undefined/large-scale problems and develops solutions for the business; maintains detailed records of data handling activities and provides strategic and comprehensive advisory services which assist in improving accuracy, completeness and validity of data as well as improving reporting compliance. The Analyst, contributes to creating a strong team environment by fostering trust and mutual respect and supporting open dialogue on issues that allow for the optimization of projects and strategic goals.

Wage: $76,111.00 - $104,651.00
The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan.
