Why is this role important?

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with healthcare data and analytics, while working on projects that directly inform decision-making across Canada’s health system.

HSO is responsible for maintaining the national Management Information System (MIS) Standards and collecting financial and statistical data from health service organizations across the country. This data feeds into CIHI’s Canadian MIS Database (CMDB) and Canadian Patient Cost Database (CPCD), which are used to produce key indicators, analytical tools, and reports that enable meaningful comparisons in health spending and system performance. The work is both complex and impactful - offering you exposure to real-world data challenges and solutions.

3. Assist in the development of clear documentation to support the effective use of OI and CMDB data within the Hub
4. Document and help streamline processes as part of the transition to the CMDB Hub
5. Support data quality improvements for key analytical products
6. Improve functionality of data tables to ease comprehension for stakeholders
7. Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing project discussions
8. Assist with additional departmental priorities as needed

What you'll bring to the table
