Lead security/architect role for the BC Health Workday HCMS provincial program — responsible for security architecture, assessments, hardening and governance for a health-sector HR/payroll platform used across BC health authorities, i.e., core Health IT / eHealth work.

The BC Health Workday Program is a provincial initiative with seven participating BC health organizations (FHA, IHA, ISLH, NHA, PHC, PHSA and VCHA). The program began in 2023 to implement a Human Capital Management System (HCMS) software solution as part of the BC Health Human Resources Strategy to transform HR services. Designed by Workday Canada, the new provincial platform will replace existing HR and payroll systems in the health organizations with a single, unified technical system that will standardize and modernize HR and payroll services. It is a significant transformation in BC and is vital to the sustainability of BC’s health system.
Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Planning & Security, BC Health Workday, the Lead eHealth Security/Architect is responsible for coordinating information security activities and overseeing the implementation and enforcement of security standards that directly impacts a wide range of health professionals within the organization and across the province. Completes technical security assessments, evaluates threats and vulnerabilities, and carries out system hardening activities. Applies specialized technical skills and expertise, and a broad range of knowledge to provide security architecture and technical direction on a wide array of technologies, manage a variety of technical projects, and to prepare technical whitepapers, project plans, and product roadmaps.

Wage: $90,770 - $113,462
The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan.
