The Team for Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability (TIES) and Wellness Hub (WH), within the Knowledge Translation Program (KTP) at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto, partners with patients, public, healthcare providers, community organizations, and policymakers to design, implement, evaluate, and sustain evidence-informed interventions that improve health outcomes and health system performance. Through implementation science, program evaluation, interest holder engagement, and applied research, the team advances innovative solutions that support equitable, person-centred care and strengthen the translation of evidence into real-world practice.
The KTP (TIES/WH) is currently looking for a Research Coordinator I. Research Coordinators work in a variety of departments and units set in clinics, offices, and at research sites (e.g. long term care homes). The role of the Research Coordinator I is to conduct the day-to-day coordination of research activities and implementation of projects involving quantitative and qualitative methodologies, assist with the building of study infrastructure, and development of future projects. This individual supports communications, and operations of programs. They are responsible for administrative duties pertaining to the research projects including maintenance of study records, quality assurance and ensuring the integrity of study data. Examples of the kind of work include developing and implementing strategies to disseminate and increase the uptake of guidelines, building strong supportive relationships amongst diverse interest holders, building consensus through co-development methods, and evaluating implementation projects using qualitative and quantitative research skills. The Research Coordinator is responsible for assisting with data analyses, liaising with community partners, and coordinating project committees.
