The successful candidate will have a PhD in Psychology, Education, Social or Behavioural Sciences (Health Services Research, Public Health, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology), and have an interest in mental health and substance use research and strong mixed methods research skills in study design, measurement and data analysis. Minimum of one year of relevant research experience, gained through graduate studies, postdoctoral training, or equivalent professional experience, including conducting experiments, data collection, analysis, and dissemination through scientific publications in youth mental health and substance use research, data governance, and healthcare improvement is required. Training in interdisciplinary studies and ethnographic methods is an asset. Experience collaborating with diverse community groups, building strong, respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, healthcare providers, and youth and families with lived and living experience is required. Commitment to working from an anti-oppressive and anti-racist lens is required. 
Applicants must have a proven track record of research project development, and execution, as well as peer reviewed publications.  Direct training and demonstrated application of data privacy, data management, and ethical guidelines to data use and ownership (e.g., Ownership, Control Access and Possession OCAP® Principles) and knowledge of Indigenous data sovereignty in research governance and data management is required. The successful applicant will have experience working with interdisciplinary teams and managing complex projects. Superior interpersonal and organizational skills along with analytical and problem-solving skills are required. The successful applicant will be a self-starter able to manage multiple projects with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated superior communication skills, i.e., ability to explain complex issues in plain language both verbally and in writing in a prior work setting is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $91,758.17 – $114,697.71 per year.
Employees in this role may progress within the full pay range of $91,758.17 – $137,637.25 per year.
