This is a backend software engineering role at League, a healthcare experience platform used by health plans and providers; the position builds and operates scalable backend services, developer tooling, and integrations that power a digital health platform (core eHealth/health IT work).
Position Summary
As a Senior or Staff Software Engineer, Backend on our Product Engineering team, you bring deep technical expertise to the design and delivery of the foundational services and developer tools that power League’s engineering organization; working inside our pod-based delivery model alongside the teams that build on your services.
You take ownership of complex, ambiguous problems across the platform’s backend systems, from service architecture to production reliability, and set the technical bar through your own work.
At Senior level, that ownership centers on your own services and team. At Staff level, it extends across pods; setting architecture direction, raising engineering standards org-wide, and mentoring senior engineers. Both levels partner closely with Product Engineering leadership, Product, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the platform scales with League’s growth
