Site Lead (OceanMD Implementation)

The Site Lead supports the Digital Referrals & Orders team, focused on rolling out the OceanMD eReferral solution across the province. This is a highly hands-on, implementation-focused position where you will work directly with clinics and healthcare providers to support adoption and ensure a smooth rollout within clinical environments. You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, supporting setup and training, and building strong relationships with clinicians and partners to drive engagement and change. While the work is project-based, it is less about traditional project management tools and more about facilitation, organization, and stakeholder coordination in fast-paced settings. Areas of expertise will include healthcare implementation experience and a solid background in change management, particularly working with clinicians and EMR systems. The Site Lead is critical to onboarding sites to the referral and order system, leading activations, addressing site-specific needs, and aligning to program timelines. This role builds sustained operational capacity, ensuring PHSA can continue onboarding and supporting health authority sites until provincial deployment is complete.

What you’ll do

• Leads clinic implementations by working directly with clinicians and healthcare providers to guide onboarding and integration of the system in complex clinical environments
• Leads and coordinates site onboarding activities for the eReferral system, ensuring alignment with program objectives, scope, timelines, and deployment plans.
• Manages deployment activities for community imaging sites and maintains effective relationships with imaging groups, vendors, and key stakeholders to support engagement, readiness, and adoption.
• Oversees site activation planning and execution, proactively identifying, tracking, and resolving site-specific risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Acts as the primary project contact for participating sites, providing status updates, issue escalation, and progress reporting to program leadership.
• Coordinates project meetings, facilitates discussions and decision-making, documents action items and outcomes, and maintains comprehensive project and onboarding documentation.
• Supports continuous improvement of onboarding methodologies, workflows, tools, and operational processes, while contributing to broader program and project delivery activities as required.

What you bring

Qualifications

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline with a minimum of five (5) year’s recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of partner groups. Healthcare system implementation experience is an asset.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the historic and ongoing impacts of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples in social and health contexts, including supported by significant knowledge of Indigenous-specific mandates, including clear understanding of and commitment to eradicate Indigenous-specific racism and discrimination and embed Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the historic and ongoing impacts of settler colonialism and systemic racism on Indigenous Peoples within social and health contexts. This includes understanding how these factors contribute to current health disparities and barriers to care. Show a clear commitment to identifying, challenging, and eradicating Indigenous-specific racism and all forms of discrimination impacting equity-deserving groups within health care settings. This involves familiarity and understanding Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility recognizing personal biases, institutional barriers, engaging in anti-racism education and training and advocating for systemic change.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments within the program contexts found in the foundational documents including Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls Calls for Justice (2019), the Declaration Act Action Plan and Remembering Keegan: A First Nations Case Study - BC Human Rights Code, BC Anti-racism Act and how they intersect across the health care system.

• Brings an understanding of the Indigenous specific racism and the broader systemic racism that exists in the colonial health care structure, and has demonstrated initiatives in breaking down barriers and ensuring a safe environment ensuring a sense of belonging to all and informed by Indigenous Cultural Safety.
• Awareness of social, economic, political and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism and Indigenous Cultural Safety and foundational documents and legislative commitments (the Declaration Act, the Declaration Action Plan, TRC, IPS, Remembering Keegan, etc.).

• Demonstrates a commitment to beginning and/or continuing their personal learning journey related to Indigenous-specific racism and dismantling systems of oppression, as well as addressing racism more broadly. Job Type: Temporary Casual
Salary Range: $50/hour - as a casual employee, total earnings include an additional 13% in lieu of benefits and paid vacation. The rate for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan
Location: Hybrid – on-site travel within region may be required
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
