About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Intermediate Business Analyst to support the Health Registries and Vital Statistics team. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure services align with eHealth’s strategic direction and meet evolving business needs.
Health Registries and Vital Statistics manages Saskatchewan residents’ health coverage, residency, and vital events such as birth, death, and marriage. In this role, you will contribute to the development of strategies, plans, roadmaps, and business cases while supporting critical systems and services.
This position requires a strong customer focus, the ability to navigate complex and evolving environments, and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes that support healthcare providers, citizens, and the broader health system.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Manager, Registries & Vital Statistics Technology, you will:
• Participate in project initiatives, including gathering, validating, and managing business requirements
• Develop clear, concise documentation and support implementation planning, training development, execution, incident management, and ongoing support
• Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language and align technical solutions with business needs
• Analyze technical details, understand system interdependencies, and assess impacts of solution implementation
• Triage incidents and requests while supporting several large applications used internally and externally
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic and operational objectives
What You’ll bring to the Team
• A post-secondary degree in Computer Science or a related field. An IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation combined with relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum three years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within an integrated IT or healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of requirements analysis and solution design, including use cases, functional and non-functional requirements, data mapping, and traceability
• Experience designing, implementing, and testing systems and applications within an integrated IT environment
• Understanding of IT architectures, integrations, and application software, with proficiency in tools such as Visio, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or similar business analysis tools
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions and develop clear documentation, including translating business requirements into technical specifications and executing test plans
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to assist in determining root causes
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners
• Knowledge of healthcare systems and processes (e.g., PHRS, Vitalware, MSHR)
• PMP certification is considered an asset
