About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a collaborative mindset and strong customer focus, who takes pride in contributing to meaningful outcomes for patients, their families, and our community.
In this role, no two days are the same, but your work will primarily focus on documenting business processes, gathering and defining requirements, and developing clear specifications. You will also play a key role in helping health system partners understand and effectively use the services we provide.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead requirements gathering, shape processes, and drive successful outcomes on data initiatives and projects. As a Business Analyst with the Improving Value in Health Care Platform (IVHC) Saskatchewan, you will play a pivotal role in improving efficiency, supporting strategic decision-making, and delivering impactful, data-driven solutions across the health system.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Manager, Analytics Projects, you will:
• Liaise with end users, customers, vendors, and business partners
• Build and support a network of Super Users/SMEs to support eHealth applications
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and assess business information requirements
• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements and support solution development
• Deliver application training and maintain related training and user documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology or other solutions
• Contribute to projects, including taking on project management responsibilities for small to mid-sized initiatives
What You’ll bring to the Team
• A post-secondary degree in Computer Science or a related field. An IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation combined with relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum three years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within an integrated IT or healthcare environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in facilitation and training
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, process modeling, requirements gathering, and solution design
• Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or equivalent business analysis software
• Understanding of commercial software applications, and database concepts, theories and principles
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, or PRINCE2
• Experience with healthcare IT integrations, including EHR systems and interoperability standards, is an asset
• A PMP or ITIL certification would also be considered an asset
